MEET matchmaking platform — matchmaking.meet-travel.fr
(Last updated: 15 September 2026)
This Cookie Policy explains how MEET Travel and Events (“MEET”) uses cookies and equivalent technologies on the matchmaking.meet-travel.fr platform (the “Platform”). It supplements MEET’s Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. It is used, among other things, to remember your preferences, secure your session and measure audience. “Local storage” serves comparable purposes. A session cookie expires when you close your browser; a persistent cookie remains until it expires or you delete it.
2. Cookies used
The Platform uses two categories of cookies:
Necessary cookies: essential to the operation of the Platform (session, authentication, security, remembering your language choice). No consent required.
Analytics cookie: it measures, on an aggregated basis, interactions with the Platform, in particular the number of clicks on sponsor logos. It is placed only with your consent.
MEET uses no advertising cookies.
| Category | Purpose | Basis | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Operation, authentication, security | Necessary | 12 hours (30 days if you tick “Remember me”) |
| Preferences | Remember your language choice | Necessary | 12 months |
| Analytics | Clicks on sponsor logos (aggregated data) | Consent | 13 months |
The statistical data collected via the analytics cookie is not deleted: it is anonymised after 25 months, in line with CNIL recommendations. Once anonymised, it can no longer identify you.
3. Consent
On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse the analytics cookie — refusing being as easy as accepting. This cookie is placed only after your consent; necessary cookies remain active. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Manage cookies” link on the Platform.
4. Managing or deleting cookies
Necessary cookies cannot be disabled, as they are essential to the operation of the Platform. You can still set your browser to block or delete cookies (“Help” or “Settings” menu); blocking necessary cookies would then prevent the Platform from working properly. Private browsing mode limits the storage of persistent cookies.
5. Changes
This Cookie Policy may be updated. Any change will be posted on this page.
